We are looking for salmon packers
Tasks:
• Pack processed salmon products
• Assist in shipping tasks
• Monday to Thursday 7 am-4 pm – Friday 7 am – 12pm
• $ 650-720 weekly
Work Responsibility and Accountabilities:
Prioritize orders by tuck/run number; maintain equipment and report malfunctions; maintain the established production standard; communicate with loaders and loader foreman regarding which truck to unload next. Packing incoming stock into cartons. Ensure that the correct shipping information is attached to packages.
discharges all returns, distributes product appropriately, and stores product in an organized manner.
Logs and discards any spilling returns.
stores all load bars and hand jacks in the appropriate location.
at the beginning of each shift, checks in with the manager or supervisor to discuss any issues or changes to the daily procedure. Imparts day to day staffing needs for the area to guarantee ideal determination, least out of stocks and on time region culmination. identifies vacant positions and fills them as needed.
Aids the preparation of and observing of all staff to guarantee exact and productive request choice, bed building and renewal.
helps keep an eye on daily productivity reports. helps employees whose averages are below standard by coaching or retraining them.
spends time training in other warehouse areas. Performs duties in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) policies and procedures, as necessary for the location.

Sometimes work in a cold environment(+5C) required
Basic English or french

Needs for the Job:
Knowledge of the relevant Warehouse Management System (WHS) and safety guidelines
solid comprehension of the relevant Bakco functions and RF systems.
System implementation experience is required, but not required. Warehouse/Operations experience is preferred but not required.
ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
aptitude for using power tools.
excellent communication abilities
ability to make sound decisions. Must exercise good judgment when deciding whether to salvage or dispose of the product.
For a more comprehensive understanding of all processes, you should be familiar with procedures in other warehouse areas.
